Crowley Carbon, the Irish expert in energy efficiency, have announced the creation of 20 jobs at its Crowley Carbon Centre in County Wicklow.
This new building, at the cutting edge of technology, enables Crowley Carbon to remotely control the energy consumption of their customers’ equipment, and to alert them in the case of abnormal peak consumption. This technology applies to all types of equipment, from refrigerators to industrial equipment.
The system was developed over the last two years and has already been tested on multiple sites in Ireland, which have reported seeing their energy consumption reduced by 30% on average.
Customers can access the service via a monthly subscription formula, while a team of Crowley Carbon engineers provides a twenty-four-hour monitoring service seven days a week: this monitoring involves nearly 800 specific points of the customer’s installations.
The Irish Minister for Employment, Richard Burton TD, welcomed Crowley Carbon’s announcement, saying “Today’s announcement that Crowley Carbon is to create 20 new jobs is very welcome. Here is an Irish company developing innovative technology, pursuing new markets and creating new jobs and we wish them every success for the future”.
Norman Crowley, the CEO of Crowley Carbon, also expressed his satisfaction at the news, declaring “We are delighted to announce the creation of 20 new jobs resulting from today’s launch of the C3 Carbon Control Centre. With ever-rising energy costs, the roll-out of C3 technology will allow businesses to be pro-active, rather than reactive, towards any potential increases that may arise in relation to ongoing energy bills.”
